Fathers Day Celebration

Staff at the MAA Medicare Charity Dialysis Centre in Seberang Perai and Teluk Intan celebrated special moments with 28 dads, who were at the centre to undergo dialysis treatments. All were gifted embroidered face towels which often come in handy during their sessions, aside from warm companionship, fun and laughter.⁣⁣

Nurses Day Celebration

During a pandemic, patients require not only care and treatment but also want to be given reassurance to alleviate their anxiety, fear or panic. ⁣

Nurses at our Teluk Intan and other centres, have consistently provided this - to our dialysis patients albeit the difficult times.Their hard work and dedication is priceless.

The MAA Medicare Charitable Organisation - would like to pay tribute to its lovely nurses at all its centres. ⁣

MCO - Donation From Tanoti Sdn. Bhd. (Kuching Centre)

The MAA Medicare Charitable Foundation is immensely grateful to Tanoti Sdn. Bhd, as they contributed a huge quantity to our CHKMUS – MAA Medicare Charity Dialysis Centre.⁣ Among the items received — 150 pairs of shoe covers, 80 pairs of boot covers, 140 pieces of hood covers, 12 pieces of long sleeved aprons, and 30 pieces of isolation gowns.⁣

Mother's Day Celebration

Nurses at our Teluk Intan centre had so much fun as they celebrated Mother's Day with dialysis patients, as they were honoured and cherished - with little tokens of appreciation, recently.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

Always remember, mothers are one of the greatest treasures in the world. We would not be in this world without them.⁣⁣

MCO - Donation From Lions Club of Kuching North (Kuching Centres)

300 pieces of face masks! This generous donation from the Lions Club of Kuching North at a time when face masks have become a necessity, will boost the morale of our staff at the CHKMUS – MAA Medicare Charity Dialysis Centre.

MCO - Donation From Lions Club Hang Tuah Jaya, Melaka (JB Centres)

TERIMA KASIH to the Lions Club Hang Tuah Jaya, Melaka for their generous donation to our 2 centres in Johor Bahru. Their donation ensures that our staff is able to continue providing services to the underprivileged, during this pandemic.

The Lions Club Hang Tuah Jaya provided 100 pieces of face shields to the 2 JB Lions – MAA Medicare Charity Dialysis Centres in Johor Bahru.

Presenting the face shields personally on behalf of the club was Raymond Lim, the Chairman of the JB Lions Renal Care Foundation. They were received by one of our visiting nephrologists, Dr. Tye Li Yoon.

MCO - Donation From Covid Assist Malaysia Community Organisation (Kuching Centre)

The CHKMUS – MAA Medicare Medicare Charity Dialysis Centre extends it warmest gratitude to the Covid Assist Malaysia Community Organisation for their generous donation of 300 pieces of face shields.

We are thankful that the organisation which has dedicated students, had thoughtfully devoted their time and effort for this initiative to provide protection to our front liners during this pandemic. Your generosity is applauded!

MCO - Disinfection Procedure by BOMBA Sarawak (Kuching Centre)

MAA Medicare Charitable Foundation is comforted by fact that its CHKMUS – MAA Medicare Charity Dialysis Centre has undergone a disinfection procedure by the Fire and Rescue Department of Sarawak.

MMCF appreciates their commitment and hard work as they support us to provide a clean and safe environment to safeguard our staff, and patients that visit us. We take cognisance of the fact that dialysis patients face higher risks when it comes to their health due to their compromised immune systems.

A big SHOUT OUT to our partners, Dato’ Sri Tay Chin Kin, the chairman and founder of the Che Har Khor Moral Uplifting Society, and Dr. Azman Mohd Sharif, vice president of MAA Medicare Charitable Foundation, for their support and care in ensuring that the centre is always at its optimum performance.

MCO - Donation From Nobel Dialysis Centre (Kota Kinabalu Centre)

A big Thank You to Dr. Morris Wo from the Nobel Dialysis Centre for his kind donation to the Peter Mole – MAA Medicare Charity Dialysis Centre in Sabah. His contribution of face masks will be a huge relief to our front liners and staff as they work with patients amidst the pandemic.

The centre received 100 pieces of KN95 masks from the Nobel Dialysis Centre. Their generous donation will ensure that we can protect our staff as they continue to provide dialysis services to underprivileged patients.

Rozelin, a representative of the Nobel Dialysis Centre personally delivered the masks on behalf of Dr. Morris Wo, to our centre’s Helyinie Peliment.

MCO - Donation From Dr. Liew Boon Seng & Datuk Dr. Hjh Suzain (Kota Kinabalu Centre)

A BIG THANK YOU to Dr. Liew Boon Seng, a nephrologist, for his personal donation of an infrared thermometer to our Peter Mole - MAA Medicare Charity Dialysis Centre in Kota Kinabalu, which was received by our centre’s AA Alystia George. We also wish to record our appreciation to Datuk Dr. Hjh Suzain, for her kind contribution of 3 bottles of hand sanitisers to the centre.⠀

MCO - Donation From Persatuan Guan Yin PH Malaysia (JB Centres)

Staff at our centres in Johor Bahru are truly grateful to the Persatuan Guan Yin PH Malaysia, for the recent contribution of face shields which will ensure the safety and protection of both front liners and patients alike during this pandemic.⁣⁣⁣

200 pieces of face shields were donated to MAA Medicare Charity Dialysis Centres in Johor Bahru.⁣⁣⁣

MCO - Donation From Lions Club of Johor Laughter Yoga and Zim Fitness Centre (JB Centres)

MAA Medicare Charitable Foundation would like to extend its deepest gratitude to the Lions Club of Johor Laughter Yoga and Zim Fitness centre, for their big-hearted donation of 100 pieces of face shields.⁣

The contribution-in-kind will safeguard our front liners and enable them to provide services to our patients, in a safe environment. During this pandemic, it is crucial that we are able to support our front liners in any way possible.⁣

MCO - Donation From Rotary Club of Johor Bahru (JB Centres)


As the MCO moves into phase 4 and most other employees are working from home, our dedicated front line staff are part of the essential services, and they go to work as usual. ⁣ Our staff are exposed to higher risks of contracting the virus, as they deal with patients.⁣
The face masks and hand sanitisers will help reduce these risks and provide assurance and comfort to our staff.⁣

MCO - Donation from Penang Science Cluster (Seberang Prai Centre)

The MAA Medicare Charity Dialysis Centre is appreciative for the thoughtful donation provided by the Penang Science Cluster as it enables staff to continue their work in assisting dialysis patients in a safe, healthy and protected environment.⁣

We would like to extend our utmost gratitude to the Penang Science Cluster for generously donating 40 handmade face shields and 100 plastic sheets to our centre. The donation will ensure that our front liners are protected and their well being is cared for, especially during this pandemic.⁣

MCO - Donation from JB Lions Renal Care Foundation (JB1 Centre)

A big THANK YOU to the JB Lions Renal Care Foundation, for the continuous support to ensure that our front liners are well protected, and remain safe and healthy as they carry on providing services for the sick, during these trying times.

We are truly delighted that the JB Lions - MAA Medicare Charity Dialysis Centre received 100 pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE) gowns, recently. The gowns will certainly come in handy for the staff!

World Kidney Day Celebrations– March 2020

World Kidney Day is a global awareness campaign aimed at raising awareness of the importance of our kidneys.

With the theme of "Prevention To Detection" for this year's celebrations, MAA Medicare Charitable Foundation celebrated the important day with numerous activities including general merriment with staff and patients.
